Math Centre Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, May 9

Mathnasium of Lakeview is hosting a Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, May 9, 2015, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. This event is for students and families in the Lakeshore and Mississauga South community to have a fun and informal afternoon where they can find out more about how we teach math in fun and effective way that absolutely makes sense to each student.

“We regularly hear about students who are stressed out about math because they have difficulty understanding math concepts that are taught in the classroom,” says Erena Shkodra, Owner and Centre Director of Mathnasium of Lakeview. “I decided to open a neighborhood learning centre focused solely on math because my core belief is that virtually any child can become great at math. I want every child in the neighbourhood overcome their anxiety and dislike for the subject. Rather than sending students home with piles of homework, we focus on teaching them what they need to know while they are present at the centre.”

This event, offered to the public free of charge, is being held at 734 Lakeshore Road East (just west at Cawthra). Attendees will have a chance to meet the math instructors at the centre and learn more about our curriculum, learning plans, and the many different ways we teach different concepts. The celebration will also have food, drinks, cake, music, face-painting and prizes. Interested families are encouraged to RSVP by calling (905) 990-6284 or emailing lakeview@mathnasium.com.
